Railways to start recruitment course of for 1.40 lakh posts in three classes from December 15

New Delhi: The Indian Railways will begin conducting computer-based examinations for round 1.40 lakh posts from December 15, Railway Board Chairman V Okay Yadav mentioned Saturday. Round 2.42 crore functions have been acquired for these posts, he mentioned.

These are, 35,208 posts in non-technical well-liked classes (NTPC) like guards, workplace clerks, business clerks and others, 1,663 posts for remoted and ministerial classes equivalent to steno and teaches, and 1,03,769 for level-one vacancies equivalent to observe maintainers and pointsman.

The railway board chairman mentioned the exams couldn’t be carried out until now because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
